Latest news LIVE: India logs 2,468 cases of Covid in 24 hrs, 8 new deaths


Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for peace, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday said that Kyiv will not conduct negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. India records 2,468 cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours, taking the nation’s tally from the pandemic to 44,601,934. With 17 new deaths, including nine reconciled by Kerala, India’s Covid-19 toll now stands at 528,733. A total of 3,731 people recovered from the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of cured cases to 44,039,883.

Advancing its 5G launch, will start a beta trial of the service in four cities on Wednesday, offering select customers unlimited data with up to 1 Gbps speed. Jio was scheduled to go live with 5G on Diwali. Rival Bharti Airtel announced its 5G launch on October 1, taking others by surprise.
